MSU PLS student nominated for the prestigious Beinecke Scholarship

Michigan State University has nominated third-year student Abigail Rodriguez for the nationally competitive Beinecke Scholarship. Results of the scholarship competition will be announced in April. 

Abigail RodriguezThe Beinecke Scholarship Program provides graduate school funding for third-year students intending to pursue a research-focused graduate program in the arts, humanities or social sciences. 

Rodriguez is majoring in Arts and Humanities in the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities with an additional major in Political Science Pre-Law and a minor in Chicano/Latino Studies in the College of Social Science. She is a Political Science Scholar who plans to attend law school and become a civil rights attorney focusing on Latinx and immigrant rights.


Originally from El Paso, Texas, she attended Santa Teresa High School in New Mexico. 

She is also a member of the Honors College.
